Some of our past Fundraising Events

Color Run

One-hundred-thirty people of all ages participated in the First Annual 5 K Splash of Color Run/Walk to benefit the Bloomsburg Town Pool Renovation Project. The fundraising event, which started and end at the community pool, raised approximately $2400. Sponsors were Innotek Computer Consulting, Neighborhood Advisors Insurance Agency, Stoltz Stove Sales, First Columbia Bank, and Zimmer Insurance Agency. The event was organized by the Bloomsburg Town Pool Renovation Committee. Thanks to all the participants and volunteers for your support!

Bike Raffle

During the Annual Cake & Ice Cream Festival at the Town Park, several bikes were raffled off to raise funds for the Town Pool Renovation Project. The bicycles were generously donated by the Law Offices of Kreisher & Marshall. Here, Pool Committee members Erin Sitler and Donna Kreisher sell tickets to Steve Hummel while his young children inspect the prizes.

Rotary Bathhouse Project

The Bloomsburg Rotary organized a community service project to scrape and paint the interior and exterior of the newly renovated Town Pool bathhouse. Tom Tobin, Rotary treasurer, spearheaded the project. The Bloomsburg Rotary Civic Club encouraged the construction of the original community pool in 1953. It was completed and opened to the community in 1955. Hepco Construction of Northumberland renovated the bathhouse during the summer of 2021. Bloomsburg University Swim Team members and additional community volunteers helped Rotary members with the painting project.

Pool Construction

Premier Pools of Plymouth Meeting removes the old deck of the town pool to replace the plumbing and pour new concrete as part of the Town Pool Renovation Project.

Renaissance Jamboree

Sunny spring weather through most of the day Saturday, April 15 brought many area residents to downtown Bloomsburg for the 2018 Renaissance Jamboree. Thanks to Ann McHugo, and Jeannie & John Green who sold t-shirts and Jim Aucker who sold t-birdhouses at out Bloomsburg Town Pool Renovation Stand for a profit of $528. And, special thanks to friends of the pool Gretchen Ostermann and Dick Detterick who set up and tore down our canopy, tables and chairs. Many people stopped by our stand with questions and comments about our new Pool Renovation Design.

Fireworks Celebration

The Bloomsburg Town Pool Renovation Committee raised $516 during the Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Town Park. Though the weather didn’t cooperate this year, our fundraiser was successful due to the dedication of a group of our weather-hardened Town Pool Renovation Committee members as well as the help of some community volunteers. Special thanks to Dick Deitterick for putting up our canopy and setting up our stand and to Jim & Mary Ann Padglick for passing the hat again this year. And, of course, we’d like to thank those of you who donated to our pool fundraiser on the Fourth at Town Park
